I decided today that I would upgrade this site to php and database driven coding. This means quite a bit of work, but it will enable a great many more features on my site. Namely, it will save lots of coding in the future and allow a continuity that was a little lacking. Plus, it’s much more professional. When I get some time, I’ll be able to put all the the existing content into databases and make it look really snazzy.
There are downsides though… First, I don’t really know how to php code very well. Second, if the database goes missing, then I’m completely screwed. Having a stack of information spread out over many files enables quick text grabbing and downloading of important information. I have to be wary.
But this is my first blog in the new style and with any luck it will be inserted in the correct place once I finally code an SQL query to read it.
I have to head out now. A Korean guy I know called Song Ho is meeting me soon for a drink. As always, it’s uncertain just how debauched the evening will turn out, mostly due to his preference for going where there are a lot of ladies. I’m not one to complain about this sort of thing, am I?
