So it was late notice, yes. And I didn’t really have much of a chance to do my research. But here I am, about to board a bus which will take me to the plane that will take me to The Phillipines. And now I’m excited.
I haven’t been there before, you see, and I always get excited about visiting new places. The first time you go to a country and breathe in the new air, the different people (of course I don’t breathe them in too much) and just the newness of it all, well it’s magic. I’ll only be there a few days so I have to breathe fast.
In fact, today being Thursday and my return being Sunday, I’ll only have three full days to explore. I have only heard about Manila as being a dirty, polluted, inefficient city. However, I’ve been to Saigon which on top of being dirty, polluted and inefficient was also crowded and filled with mercenaries and just to top it off, was communist. So I’m sure Manila is just delightful.
I’m not a snobby type anyway. A little dirt didn’t hurt anyone. I won’t eat any chicken though, just to be on the safe side. Apart from that I expect it will be a pleasant trip and I’ll have lots of photos to put up when I return. Really have to run now and catch my flight.
